Rodrigo Sacca

FILM DIRECTOR

“I've always being amazed by how sometimes what's behind the screen, regardless of how absurd and unrealistic it is, can leave us with a deeper mark than some real life experiences. Filmmaking, for me, is the opportunity to transform imagination into those images and emotions that leave us marked forever. That's what sparked my journey into filmmaking: the possibility to reach somebody with my imagination.

Each film is a step into the extraordinary, where the boundaries of reality blur, and the impact of imagination becomes profoundly, beautifully real.”

”Backwards”
was born as an assignment for the “Shot Design” class, taught by established producer and professor Frank H. Green. This piece is interesting for its compositions and creative choices that tell a story without the use of words.

In this micro-short, the laws of nature and gravity are redefined as our protagonist has to escape a creature she cannot identify.
