Directed by Rodrigo Sacca, “The Other Shoe” was born as a collaborative assignment for the class “Advanced Directing” taught by established professor and director Jesse Wolfe, but the level of effort, planning and quality put into it make this piece comparable to any well produced student short.

In the romantic streets of Savannah, Wayne and Olivia are supposed to be living their perfect moment. As they stroll hand-in-hand past street musicians and dancing couples, Olivia expects a proposal — but Wayne only suggests getting ice cream. The missed expectation cracks open deeper questions neither of them had dared to voice. As the night unfolds, what starts as a simple misunderstanding spirals into an honest confrontation about love, commitment, and fear. In facing their differences, Wayne and Olivia must decide: are they truly moving forward together, or simply waiting for the other shoe to drop?
